Evil Slave is proud to announce the launch of our flagship transmedia experience: Soulless. It’s a brave new transmedia world out there, who’s ready to face the hordes!?
Soulless is a feature film satirizing the Seattle indie film scene, but it is also a mobile app. And a web series. And a graphic novel. Oh, it’s a board game, too. Did I mention that it’s a movie? This is what we mean by transmedia, delivering your content simultaneously on multiple platforms, any way your audience wants it. From the moment development launches there will be no secrets about Soulless. Auditions, table reads, production meetings, and more will instantly become content available for consumption.
Oh, and by the way, it’s pretty darn hysterical.
The transmedia launch of Soulless has been accepted as a project by the renowned MCDM (Master Of Communication In Digital Media) program at the University Of Washington. We will be leveraging the brilliant minds of the MCDM to produce a viable, practical transmedia product.
Evil Slave’s credo is simple: create high quality, practical entertainment products in an atmosphere of inclusiveness, professionalism and fun. Emphasis on the fun. Soulless is a project where we intend to work and play as a family. Ok, we take that back, most of us can barely stand to be around our families, much less work with them. We intend to create an environment that is beyond family, an atmosphere of inclusiveness and sheer enjoyment of making film. Evil Slave’s goal is to create and nurture a supportive environment where anyone from to first time film makers to seasoned professionals can feel safe and empowered to let their true talents shine. The moment someone makes this project about their own personal baggage and brings the team down, they are out. That day. We’re not kidding.
What is the budget you ask? Zero. Why lie? There is no pay out of the gate on this project. If you want to join us on our epic and fun journey we are offering you a negotiable ownership of the project itself. No more, no less. Will Soulless ever hit it big and make us all rich and famous? Who cares! It’s fun!
We launch with our first 4 minute episode, “Soulless — Episode 5: Phillip Mike Hunt” in February.
