All Things Hid­den was writ­ten, not only as a way to heal my own expe­ri­ence grow­ing up with domes­tic vio­lence, but also to try and help oth­ers with their own, and in some way, to encour­age the world to stop allow­ing mind­less vio­lence to become an accept­able part of human nature.I was very for­tu­nate my moth­er made it out alive, but so many men, women and chil­dren do not. Too many chil­dren have been exposed to this type of envi­ron­ment and the emo­tion­al ram­i­fi­ca­tions it caus­es are unac­cept­able. It is to those whose lives have been lost to domes­tic vio­lence, and to those who are still haunt­ed by the mem­o­ry of it, that this sto­ry is ded­i­cat­ed.

All Things Hid­den explores the emo­tion­al jour­ney that a young woman, Dan­nie, makes to her trag­ic past in order to find the strength to embrace her future.
